Twenty-one students and four faculty members formed the largest YSU delegation ever to attend the annual meeting of the Midwest Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine.

Youngstown State University students presented the musical "The Addams Family" earlier this fall. Students formed the cast, ensemble and orchestra for the University Theatre production.

The artwork of 10 students earning bachelor's degree in Fine Arts this fall from Youngstown State University is featured at the Fall Graduating BFA Exhibit in the McDonough Museum of Art Nov. 16 through Dec. 7 on the YSU campus. Youngstown State University Art students studied abroad in Glasgow, Scotland, creating their own works of art under the instruction of YSU Associate Professor Joseph D'Uva. Their art was displayed in Bliss Hall throughout October.

For the fourth consecutive year, Youngstown State University's Ethics Bowl team is headed to the national finals after again placing first in the regional competition in Indianapolis. The five-student Penguin team won the 20th Annual Central States Regional Ethics Bowl at Marian University in Indianapolis on Nov. 3 and will now compete in the 2019 National Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl in March in Baltimore.

Rocco L. Core of Mineral Ridge has been appointed a student member of the YSU Board of Trustees by Gov. John Kasich. His two-year term runs through April 30, 2020.
