Youngstown State University is a comprehensive urban research university that offers over 11,500 students more than 100 undergraduate and graduate programs of study. Business students selected for John D. Beeghly Fellows Program

Business students from the Williamson College of Business Administration, were selected as the John D. Beeghly Fellows for the 2023 Spring Semester. The John D. Beeghly Fellows program provides students with a paid fellowship working with the Ohio Small Business Development Center, Export Assistance Network and the APEX Accelerator at Youngstown State University. Projects include domestic and international market research, financial modeling, export readiness studies, business viability analysis, cash flow projections, sales forecasting, marketing & social media strategies, research on government contracting opportunities, marketing capability statements, and outreach for government contracting efforts. Students gain valuable career-related work experience to competitively position themselves in the job market upon graduation.

YSU took the first step to defending its national Ethics Bowl title by again winning the regional tournament. YSU Honors College announces "Student of the Week" honorees for Spring 2020

The Honors College at Youngstown State University has recognized several students as part of the Honors Student of the Week initiative for Spring semester 2020. The college launched the program earlier this academic year to recognize academic excellence, community engagement and student success. The Honors Student of the Week is announced each Sunday in the college's weekly e-newsletter sent to Honors College students, staff and faculty and also posted on the YSU website. There are currently 1,266 students in the college.

YSU Honors College students enhance communication skills through conversations with local seniors

A group of YSU Honors College students in an Honors seminar called "Let's Talk" recently spent an evening practicing communication skills and enjoying the company of residents at three local long-term care facilities. Eleven students participated in casual conversations over ice cream and learned about the lives of those living at Marian Living Center and Assumption Village Skilled Nursing Home, both in North Lima, and Humility House in Austintown. The students were enrolled in the honors seminar, Let's Talk, which explores principles of interpersonal communication and provides practical strategies for having meaningful conversations. The seminar culminates in an opportunity to converse with older adults. Students in the Honors College collectively amass approximately 60,000 hours of volunteer service annually through a variety of projects which impact the campus and community.
