Youngstown State University students presented the musical "The Addams Family" earlier this fall. Students formed the cast, ensemble and orchestra for the University Theatre production.

Students performed original choreography as part of Youngstown State University's Dance Ensemble Feb. 28, March 1 and 2, in the Ford Theater of Bliss Hall on campus. The concert featured a total of 30 student dancers performing a variety of jazz, tap, modern and dance theatre.

YSU students perform in Cabaret Unrequited, a showcase of tunes from a variety of musicals.

The artwork of 10 students earning bachelor's degree in Fine Arts this fall from Youngstown State University is featured at the Fall Graduating BFA Exhibit in the McDonough Museum of Art Nov. 16 through Dec. 7 on the YSU campus. How I Learned to Drive,a Pulitzer Prize-winning play that grapples with difficult issues such as family dysfunction and pedophilia, is presented by Youngstown State University Theater Nov. 9 through 11 and Nov. 16 through 18 in Bliss Hall's Spotlight Theater.

Student musicians at Youngstown State Unversity, members of the Dana Chamber Orchestra, performed a Sunday afternoon concert recently in Youngstown's historic DeYor Performing Arts Center. The program will include Gioachino Rossini's "Una Voce Poco Fa" from Il Barbiere Di Siviglia featuring soloist first year Master's student Lindsay Heavner, soprano, and Serenade for Strings, Op. 22 by Antonin Dvorak.

Youngstown State University students involved in the fall production of "Dead Man's Cell Phone" on campus were selected to perform the show at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, Region II, part of a national collegiate theater program. Several other theater students were also recognized at the annual regional event that aims to improve the quality of university theater nationally.

Eight student composers in the Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University had their original compositions performed in concert in mid-November at YSU's Bliss Hall. In total, 25 students, including the composers, performed the original works.
