A team of four Youngstown State University students majoring in Respiratory Care won a state competition in their field and qualified to advance to a national competition in San Antonio.

Youngstown State University mathematics students continued their winning ways at MathFest 2016 in Columbus, earning two awards for excellence.

A team of six Youngstown State University Civil Engineering students defeated teams from 13 other universities and placed first at the Ohio Valley Student Conference Steel Bridge Competition in Cincinnati.

Three Youngstown State University students are finalists in the 2015-16 NASBITE International Student Case Competition.

A team of five students from the Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University placed third at the Chartered Financial Analyst Research Challenge in Cleveland. The YSU team made their inaugural appearance at the competition against nine other seasoned universities, placing ahead of teams that included graduate student members.

A team of three Youngstown State University students placed second nationally in the Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl. In all, teams from 36 universities competed this year in Virginia.

Youngstown State University math students continued their winning ways at the 2013 MathFest in Hartford, Conn. earlier this month, taking home a record six awards. This year's YSU team broke the record of five awards set in 2005 and 2006, also by teams from YSU. No other school has won more than three awards at any MathFest.
