Sarah Ludwick awarded YSU Mission College scholarship

Sarah Ludwick of Youngstown, Ohio (44509), a Youngstown State University student taking part in Sister Jerome's Mission College, a program of the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown, has been awarded a scholarship for the 2017-18 academic year. Ludwick is a Hubbard High School graduate and a Pre Social Work major at YSU.

The Mission College program aims to break the cycle of generational poverty by helping students from low-income families succeed in college. In addition to pairing students with knowledgeable mentors who guide them through the higher education experience, Mission College provides participating students with financial assistance for essentials such as food, clothing and transportation so that they can focus on their studies.
