Samantha Welch of Youngstown, Ohio, is among nearly 2,200 new freshmen enrolled at Youngstown State University for the 2015-16 academic year. Samantha is majoring in Prof and Technical Writing.

In all, the new students hail from 25 states, including Ohio, Pennsylvania, Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Washington D.C., Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, New Jersey, South Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, Virginia, Wisconsin and West Virginia.
