Rayann Atway selected to present at national honors conference

Junior Youngstown State University student Rayann Atway of Boardman, Ohio, was selected to present at the 51st Annual Conference of the National Collegiate Honors Council in Seattle, Wash., this semester.

Atway, a member of the Honors College and a Biology, Pre-Med major at YSU, presented "Antibody Production Directed Against Type 5 and Type 8 Staphylococcus aureus" in the student poster session. The study involves replicating antibodies against S. aureus in order to create a better treatment plan for staph infections.

NCHC is the professional association of undergraduate honors programs and colleges. The annual conference brings together directors, faculty members and students to celebrate a broad and diverse collegiate honors community through presentation sessions, speakers, trainings, special events and more.
