Madalyn Schaefer of Canfield, Ohio, named to Beta Gamma Sigma at Youngstown State University

2014 Apr 2

Madalyn Schaefer of Canfield, Ohio, has been inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the world's premier business honorary association.

.

Beta Gamma Sigma is reserved exclusively for schools accredited by AACSB International - the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. While nearly 350,000 students nationwide receive bachelors or master's degrees in business each year, only about 25,000 are inducted into a lifetime membership in Beta Gamma Sigma. To be eligible for membership, students must be registered in business administration programs and be candidates for the baccalaureate or MBA degree. Students ranking in the top 10 percent of the junior class, the top 10 percent of the senior class or the top 20 percent of the master's program are eligible.

In all, 37 students in YSU's Williamson College of Business Administration were inducted this year, bringing to 594 the number of YSU students inducted. The YSU chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma has been recognized as an Exemplary Chapter for its superior level of membership acceptance.
