Katie Fernstrom performs in YSU's Fall Choral Concert

Katie Fernstrom of Canfield, Ohio, was among the Youngstown State University students featured when the Dana School of Music presented its fall choral concert, titled "Celebration of Life in Every Corner," at St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown. Fernstrom is studying for a degree in Music Performance Piano at YSU.

Featured ensembles includes the Dana Chorale, the University Chorus, and the YSU Barbershop Chorus, all under the direction of Associate Professor Hae-Jong Lee.

The repertoire included various aspects of life as celebrations, including the music of renowned composers such as Mozart, Bernstein, Debussy, Whitacre and Rutter.
