Joseph Alvey of Parma, Ohio, stars in the production of "Celebrating 50 Years of University Theater: A Musical Commemoration" at Youngstown State University.

The show, which runs Nov. 8, 9 10, 15, 16 and 17, features live music showcasing the more than 200 productions produced by University Theater since its inception 50 years ago. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 p.m., while Sunday matinee performances are at 2 p.m. Performances are in Ford Theater on the YSU campus.

Alvey , a Senior studying Musical Theater at YSU, is a member of the Company in the production.
