Jasmine Smyles welcomed to YSU's Navarro Executive Fellows

Jasmine Smyles of Chicago, IL, is among 17 members of Youngstown State University's prestigious Navarro Executive Fellows program - including five new freshmen members and 12 returning members.

Smyles, studying Exercise Science, is a returning member.

The program, offered for the first time last fall and designed for minority students, is named in honor of philanthropists Shorty and Elba Navarro who donated $1 million to fund scholarships and campus jobs for students. Participants form mentoring relationships with senior campus leaders and learn to set goals and stay on track academically, professionally and personally.
