Jacob Schriner-Briggs wins national honors with YSU Ethics Bowl team

Jacob Schriner-Briggs of Youngstown, OH (44511), is a member of the Youngstown State University Ethics Bowl team that took second place in the nation in the Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl Competition in Dallas. Schriner-Briggs, English major, is one of four team members.

The YSU team qualified for the national competition, hosted by the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics, by placing first in the Central States Regional Ethics Bowl Competition at Marian University in Indianapolis last fall. About 200 teams compete in regional tournaments, and the top 37 teams from across the nation competed in the national event.

In the finals, a team from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point took first place, besting the Penguins.
