Emily Hoopes presents math research at Nebraska conference

Emily Hoopes of Champion, Ohio, a Mathematics major at Youngstown State University, recently presented research at the Nebraska Conference for Undergraduate Women in Mathematics.

Hoopes's presentation was titled, Developing an Educational Sudoku Solver.

"I have been going to conferences with YSU students since I started here in 2001, and I can honestly say that I have never been with such a better group overall," said Angela Spalsbury, professor and chair of the YSU Department of Mathematics and Statistics. "Their presentations were extremely impressive and made me very proud to be from YSU."
