Elliot Kwolek performs in YSU composition debut concert

Elliot Kwolek of Beaver, PA, participated in a mid-November concert at Youngstown State University that introduced the original musical compositions of eight students in the Dana School of Music. Twenty-five student musicans, including the composers, were featured at the event. Kwolek, performer, is a Music Performance Instrument major at YSU.

The composers are all students in Professor David Morgan's Composition Studio at YSU, which offers students the opportunity to compose their own music, and then to find willing musicians to perform their music at rehearsals and for the concert.

Students were also responsible for setting up the performance space, writing program notes, getting their music recorded, and finding an audience.
