Christy Hartman of Boardman, Ohio, has been inducted into Phi Kappa Phi at Youngstown State University. Hartman is a senior majoring in Graphic Design at YSU.

The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is one of the oldest and most respected national academic honor societies. The mission of Phi Kappa Phi is to recognize and promote academic excellence in all fields of higher education and to engage the community of scholars in service to others. YSU became affiliated with Phi Kappa Phi in 1972 as the 143rd Chapter and has gained prominence and recognition at local and national levels. Under the guidance of Presidents Tammy King (2008-2010), Rebecca Geltz (2010-2012), and Christine Cobb (2012-2014), Chapter 143 has been awarded the Chapter of Excellence multiple times since 2009.
