Catherine Cooper receives 2016 Pin Award at YSU Student Awards Banquet

Catherine Cooper of Campbell, Ohio, a Youngstown State University Middle Childhood Education student, is one of five seniors who was presented the Pin Award at this year's Student Awards Banquet.

The Pin Award recognizes graduating seniors who have achieved academic success and demonstrated outstanding leadership, motivation and creativity in university and community activities. Candidates must have demonstrated exceptional leadership in YSU campus life through participation in a variety of campus activities and community-wide service projects. They also must have demonstrated character and integrity in their role as a YSU student leader and a minimum accumulative grade-point average of 3.0.
