Carissa Benchwick named to international counseling honorary

Carissa Benchwick of Salem, OH (44460), was among 36 Youngstown State University students named to the Eta Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, an international honor society dedicated to promoting excellence in the Counseling profession and promoting the professional identity of counselors. Benchwick is a International Business major at YSU.

Eta Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota at YSU has inducted more than 800 members since 1985. Chi Sigma Iota International is one of the largest counseling organizations in the world with its mission to promote "scholarship, research, professionalism, leadership, advocacy, and excellence in counseling, and to recognize high attainment in the pursuit of academic and clinical excellence in the profession of counseling."
