Brittney Taylor of Niles, OH, inducted into Phi Kappa Phi at Youngstown State University

Brittney Taylor of Niles, OH, was among more than 100 students at Youngstown State University inducted recently into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

Taylor is a majoring in Early Childhood Education at YSU.

Phi Kappa Phi, founded in 1897, is the nation's oldest, largest and most selective collegiate honor society for all disciplines.

For election into the YSU chapter, undergraduate students must have completed at least 72 semester hours, with 24 of those hours taken at YSU. Seniors must rank in the top 10 percent of their class, and juniors must rank in the top 7.5 percent. Graduate students must have completed at least 15 semester hours of graduate credit at YSU and rank in the top 10 percent of their class.

In addition to the student initiates, the following were inducted: Distinguished Member - Sharon Stringer, professor of Psychology; Alumni Members - Benjamin McGee, assistant professor of Counseling and Special Education and Noreen E. Moderalli, director of the Eastern Ohio Area Health Education Center; Faculty/Administration - Steven R. Brown, professor of English; Michael R. Crist, professor and director of the Dana School of Music; Diana L. Fagan, professor of Biological Sciences; Stanley D. Guzell Jr., professor of Management; Nancy C. Landgraff, associate professor and chair of Physical Therapy; Stephen Ernest Rodabaugh, associate dean for academic programs and outreach, College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics; and Tina Weintz, director of Graduate Admissions.
